Use its initial dialogs to find and open the file in the Cloud Store. Then go to your Android device, and open KeePass2Android. I'll lightly describe synchronizing further below, referring to the sync example page mentioned above.ħ. I used %OneDrive%\AppData\KeePass2\JDH.kdbx. I then chose a location that syncing would occur to in the Cloud, and copied the JDH.kdbx file to there. You might have a pre-existing one just remember/record its pathname. On Windows, I created a JDH.kdbx file by running KeePass2 (blue block in the sync example), storing it as %LOCALAPPDATA%\KeePass2\JDH.kdbx When you use a database in " KeePass2Android" it automatically uses 2 database locations:Ī.) a Cloud Storage location that you specify with its create new or open existing file operations (upper green DB icon),ī.) it chooses its own default location (apparently, not changable) in your Android machines' own local directory tree to store what it calls a local DB cache (lower right brick-colored icon).ĥ. Now refer to the green block on the right in the "sync example" mentioned above. (You might have to wait a few seconds between attempts, due to the Cloud Store software detecting a change and completing a sync.)Ĥ. Continue until you've tried every machine of interest, and return to your 1st one and check that all edits are visible. Test the above by opening a text editor on one machine, editing it, storing it to the Cloud location, move immediately to another machine, make sure that file, as edited, is seen, can be further edited & stored in the cloud, etc. Make a note of the pathnames in each machine's "view" of that one Cloud Store location the "mount" points' names will vary a bit from machine to machine.ģ. I've used OneDrive, which my Linux, Windows and Android machines can all connect to. Make sure that your Android(s) and any computers that might run KeePass2 and/or KeePass2Android can connect to your chosen Cloud Store: Dropbox, MSFT's OneDrive, Google Drive or some other - preferably by some mounted/mapped drive pathname. The following sequence is only needed once on each box you'll want to synchronize - to get DBs and Cloud Stores and synchronization set up. Refer to the sync example mentioned above, and pretend that the green box on the right is your Android phone.
